FAQs

Who completes the training?

I, Kerry Norris, complete all the training with all my clients. You know you only get me – and not get passed around other personal trainers.

What services can you offer?

With exercise I can offer strength & conditioning, general fitness, nutritional advice and guidance, working towards a target, body fat analysis and BMI, body measurements.

With nutrition I can offer include personalised food plans and meal plans.

Where does the training take place?

Wherever is best for you, within the areas I cover. Here is a link to the costs.

Most clients prefer the sessions take place at their home (inside or in the garden), but I’m more than happy to go to a nearby park or work area.

I make sure each session is varied, challenging and effective and working towards achieving your goals.

Are you qualified to work with pregnant (pre-natal) and post-natal women?

Yes. I qualified as a Level 3 Certified Personal Trainer in December 2009. I have also qualified in Pre and Postnatal Exercise, Diploma in Exercise Referral, Group Exercise. I also completed the Body Type Nutrition Foundation course.  I’m First Aid Trained. More information about me is here

What does a ‘typical’ training session look like?

Each session is different per client, but the below illustrates what kind of thing we will do.

  • We begin by warming you up, to get ready for exercise. This is crucial, so you don’t get any injuries

  • We will then move onto a series of exercises with different repetitions across the body. I explain how to do each task, how many, and what it’s doing e.g. squats strengthen your glutes, hamstrings and quadriceps

  • Sessions will vary each time, based on your goals, however, will include strength and conditioning, HIIT, Interval training and Pilates based movements

  • Finish each session with full stretch of the body or the muscles that have been targeted during the session and help to wind down after completing the session.

Why use a personal trainer?

Of course, you can train alone in the gym or at home, but you’re not likely to get the same results or at the same speed. Especially during pregnancy or just after having a baby, the body shouldn’t do everything it does pre-pregnancy. You need to build back up to doing exercises.

My qualified experience, along with having 9 years training clients, gives me a good insight into how you can get results. I’m there to motivate you and develop a customised training programme with you that corresponds to your requirements, problems and goals. I will mainly be your advisor. I can detect when your posture is not quite right or when you are putting too much pressure on the wrong muscles. With me there you’re likely to push yourself further, and therefore make progress quicker!
